Dissolved Acetylene (C2H2)

Shriji Gases is a renowned Dissolved Acetylene gas manufacturer and supplier in India. This Dissolved Acetylene sometimes also referred as DA Gas, is a hydrocarbon. It is basically a colorless fuel gas and is used extensively in the industries for metal cutting and brazing applications. Acetylene is a compound of carbon and hydrogen with the chemical formula C₂H₂. It is chemically very unstable and, even at atmospheric pressure, acetylene gas can explode. In order to safely store acetylene, cylinders are filled with a porous mass. In this mass there is a solution of acetylene in acetone or DMF (dimethylformamide) under pressure, typically 15 bar. Acetylene in solution is stable. Commercially, it is produced by reaction of Calcium Carbide with water.

We are a renowned Argon gas manufacturer and supplier in India, both in liquid and compressed forms. Argon is an Inert, tasteless, odorless, colorless, nonflammable and Non Toxic gas present in the atmosphere at a concentration of 0.934 % by volume. It has a boiling point of -185.9°C (-302.6°F). Argon is produced by Cryogenic Distillation/air separation plants which condenses atmospheric air and distills liquid Argon. This liquid Argon is collected, stored and further converted into gaseous Argon at room temperature and this Argon gas is further stored in various types of Argon gas cylinders to be used in any industrial/lab grade applications.

There are various sizes of Argon gas cylinder available which can store Argon gas at different pressures. For some applications where continuous and high quantity of Argon gas is required to be fed, we make use of Argon gas cylinder quad which is nothing but the number of cylinder interconnected and having common outlet ’and common inlet. In short, a bunch of many cylinders can be used, loaded / unloaded as single unit.

Liquid Argon (Ar)

In addition to supply argon In gaseous form through cylinder, Shriji Gases also deals and specializes in supplying Liquid Argon through our own fleet of tank vehicles. Liquid argon is stored, shipped, and handled in several types of containers, depending upon the quantity required by the user. The types of containers in use are the dewar, cryogenic liquid cylinder, and cryogenic storage tank. Storage quantities vary from a few liters to many thousands of gallons. Since heat leak is always present, vaporization takes place continuously. Rates of vaporization vary, depending on the design of the container and the volume of stored product.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2)

Shriji Gases is a renowned Carbon dioxide gas manufacturer and supplier, both in liquid and compressed gas forms. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a slightly toxic, odorless, colorless gas with a slightly pungent and acidic taste. In air, concentrations of carbon dioxide is about 0.038% by volume.

Carbon dioxide gas is commercially produced by fermentation of Sugar compounds in beer, bread and liquor making industry as it’s by product. Other way of its production is by combustion of carbohydrates, natural gases and fossil fuel like wood and coal. The CO2 produced is liquid in nature. This liquid CO2 is being stored in carbon dioxide gas cylinders for any further industrial/lab grade applications.

Nitrogen (N2)

Shriji Gases is a renowned Nitrogen gas manufacturer and supplier both in liquid and compressed gas forms. Nitrogen Gas is tasteless, odorless, colorless and nonflammable gas present in the atmosphere at a concentration of 78.09 % by volume. It has a boiling point of -195.8°C (-320.4°F). Nitrogen Gas is produced by Cryogenic Distillation/air separation plants which condenses air and distills liquid Nitrogen. This liquid Nitrogen is further converted into gaseous Nitrogen at room temperature and is being stored in Nitrogen Gas Cylinders for further use in any Industrial application.

Some process also requires using Nitrogen in Liquid Form only. For such process or applications, Liquid Nitrogen is stored and supplied in special vacuum insulated containers called Cryogenic Containers or Cryo Cans or Dewars. There are different sizes of Cryo Cans available depending upon the volume of liquid stored in it.

Mixture Gas - Argon + Carbon Dioxide (Ar + CO2)

Argon Carbon Dioxide blends are versatile mixtures for welding carbon, low-alloy and some stainless steels. Increasing the CO2 content will increase weld penetration and bead wetting characteristics. At higher current levels and CO2 content, increased spatter may result. Argon Carbon Dioxide blends can be used to join a wide range of material thickness while utilizing a variety of modes of metal transfer.
Argon Carbon Dioxide blends are used for all kinds of structural steel, farm implements and machinery. Lower levels of CO2 can be used for pulsed arc or spray arc welding, while higher levels > 20% are used for short arc welding and the shielding of some flux-cored wires.

Hydrogen Gas (H2)

Hydrogen gas is a colourless, odourless, and highly flammable gas that is valued for its reactive and protective properties. Many industries such as electronics, foods, glass, chemicals, refining benefit from its unique properties to improve quality, optimize performance and reduce costs.

One of the most notable properties of hydrogen gas is its high energy content, which makes it an ideal fuel for clean energy applications. When burned in air or reacted in a fuel cell, hydrogen gas produces only water vapor as a byproduct, making it a highly attractive alternative to fossil fuels for transportation and power generation.

Liquified Petroleum Gas – LPG (C3H8)

Liquified Petroleum Gas consists of propane butane mixture liquified under ambient temperature and moderate pressure. It is used for standard heating and cooking purposes. LPG can be compressed in a ratio 1:270, which enables LPG to be an ideal fuel to mark in portable cylinders.

Industrial Application:
  • Heat treatment in industries like metal cutting
  • Ceramic and glass, forging, annealing and billet
  • Heating bitumen, melting, textile and paper
  • Other uses in industries like construction

Ammonia Gas (NH3)

Ammonia (NH3) is a pungent, colorless gas, which is approximately 40% lighter than air. It is a compound of nitrogen and hydrogen. One of the most notable properties of ammonia gas is its ability to dissolve in water to form a highly alkaline solution. This property makes it a useful cleaning agent and is why it is commonly used in household cleaning products. In addition, ammonia gas is also used in the production of plastics, textiles, and other chemicals.

Due to its highly toxic and flammable nature, ammonia gas must be handled with extreme caution and proper safety procedures must be followed to prevent accidents. Protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, and respiratory masks should always be used when working with ammonia gas.

Helium Gas (He)

Helium gas is a colourless, odourless, and non-toxic gas that is the second lightest element in the universe after hydrogen. It is an inert gas, meaning it does not react with other elements or compounds under normal condition One of the most notable properties of helium gas is its extremely low density, which makes it useful for a wide range of applications. It is commonly used as a cooling agent for cryogenics and in gas chromatography, as well as in the production of semiconductors, fiber optics, and other high-tech materials.

Calcium Carbide (CAC2)

Calcium carbide is a colourless crystalline solid and is a rock-like structure at room temperature. It is produced industrially through the reaction of lime and coke in an electric arc furnace. One of the most notable properties of calcium carbide is its ability to produce acetylene gas when it reacts with water. This reaction is highly exothermic and produces a hot flame, making calcium carbide a useful fuel source for welding and other industrial applications.

Calcium carbide is also used in the production of various chemicals, including acetylene derivatives such as vinyl chloride, as well as in the production of calcium cyanamide, which is used as a fertilizer and soil conditioner.
